Wedding-Filled Weekend In Charlotte!

On Thursday, we headed to Charlotte, NC for my cousin Sheana's wedding! It was a beautiful weekend!
The happy couple... Chris and Sheana!
 The Amazing Ballantyne Hotel!

The hotel was amazing! They were married in a quaint, Methodist Church and the reception was at the Ballantyne!

 Sheana's amazing dress...
Getting ready for her big day!

I snapped this pic as her hairdresser was adding some final spriztes of hair spray!!! SO neat how the hairspray looks like glitter in the pic! :)
 Sheana and her Mom!
On the way to the Church (1/2 hour before the wedding) our bus with the entire bridal party broke down on the side of the road!! About 10 minutes passed, and 5400684 cars drove by but finally this nice man in the Jeep picked us up! Sheana, her maid of honor and I getting loaded up into the Jeep! He made several trips back to the broken down bus and picked up the rest of the group!! Sheana remained cool as a cucumber! Something we can laugh about for many years to come!
 Sheana's Mom/Dad (my Mom's brother) and Chris/Sheana

My Mom and Dad and Sheana's Aunt Janet and Uncle Butch
Jen and Jon, Mom/Dad and I
Unfortunately, Tim wasn't able to make the trip with us. :(
But he got to catch-up on some time with his family!

What A Weekend!

Wow. What an amazing weekend!
About a week and a half ago, I received a call from Tim saying that he was on his way home!! I was ecstatic! Tim actually had to come back to the states for surgery on a hernia. I'm thankful it's just a hernia. It could be worse, considering where he has been for the last 10 months. So unfortunately, Tim is due to have surgery soon, but fortunately he is home SAFE and doesn't have to go back since he was so close to the end of his deployment!! I decided some celebrating was in store, so I rounded up some Husker tickets and we had a wonderful weekend!! Here's a re-cap...
Some much-deserved flags and yellow ribbon to welcome home my soldier!

Wilson was as excited as ever to welcome home his dad!!
 SO MANY wet kisses!
 And some tackles too... :)

Then Saturday, it was off to the Husker game!!!!

First, we tailgated with some of Tim's childhood friends!

Can you see the Huskers walking through the tunnel?!
 A Sea of Red, really...
Tim was SO excited to go to the game! The last time he had been was 20 years ago when his dad took him as a child. :)
This picture gives me goosebumps just looking at it! The energy at these games is phenomenal! Something everyone must experience at least once in their lifetime!
Our seats were awesome -- 25th Row, almost at the 50-yard line!

 Warming-Up!

Tim had to have a hotdog! Hotdogs and Memorial Stadium just go together! ;)

 First Touchdown! Balloons... and rain.
 Thank goodness for our ponchos!

SUH!!!!
Final Score!! Such an awesome game!! One of the biggest comebacks in history!
On Sunday we went to our Nephew Traeton's 7th birthday party!
Tim's family did not know he was home! He wanted it to be a surprise for them! They were all so excited to see him!!! A big hug from his Dad!! Such a great moment!
Little Raegan! They don't get cuter than this... love her!
Trae opening his gift from us!

 A big, nerf gun!
Tim's Dad assembling their gift! :)
 Pinata Time!!

 Raegan the pumpkin-head!
 Love.
 Slam Dunk!
 Happy, Happy Birthday Trae!!!
