Recent Interior Design Projects!

I thought it would be fun to update you all on some of the projects I have been working on lately! I have been spending quite a bit of my free time designing :)

The first few pictures are from a chiropractic office in Lincoln. I completed this project almost 1 year ago, but just hadn't had the opportunity to take pics!! So here are a few...

This project was a complete build-out! From start to finish.

Before...

 After...

The carpet selection exceeded my expectations! I love it!

I had the opportunity to use great paint colors in the office! They were all very rich/warm-toned colors. So pretty!

I also did a Fall Parade Home in Lincoln!

The glass tile backsplash turned out perfect!

Guest bathroom. The natural travertine tile floor is one of my favorites!

 Master Bath...

Dark painted trim and doors. So sharp!

A "before" shot of my parents great room at their lake house in Valley...

 And After...

Stay tuned for more projects!

Things I'm Loving Lately...

...for the home.

I love this earthy color combination...

The board and batten above this fireplace... Love it!

 Vintage Crates... fabuloussss!! :)

They painted the interior of this entry door black too, very nice!

 Ohhhh the windows... amazing.

 Cute office, great built-in bookshelves!

So classy and pretty. I love the soft color palette.

Cute little breakfast nook, again - great windows!

Nothing better to leave you with than this... :)

Window Treatments

This past weekend, a high school acquaintence contacted me via facebook for some interior design advice... Here's what she had to say,

"Hey Katie. Hope you are doing great!! I just have a quick question for you. We have really narrow windows (approx 20 inches wide) on each side of our fireplace and then our patio door on the same wall, do you have any suggestions for me for window treatments?"

Here's what I suggested:

Roman Shades for the windows on each side of her fireplace...

I love the soft, non frilly look of roman shades...

 With A Pattern...

 A more custom-looking option...

Sliding glass doors are tricky! In my opinion, there is not yet a great sloution. I suggest a curtain rod with hanging panels...

Hope this helps, good luck Jaime!

Windows!

I don't know what it is about natural light, but I love it - LOTS of it in a home! There's something about big windows that just "brighten up" spaces! Here are some of my favorite examples...

Wow, Wow, Wow. This is probably my all time favorite set of windows ever!

These are very similar. I'd be happy with them in my dream house someday, too! ;)

I know its kind of hard to see, but that window above the kitchen sink is pretty too.

I envision that you probably walk into this home, and see that beautiful bank of windows right in front of you... love this!

Kids Bedrooms

I must be in a "kids room" kind of a mood lately! :) I also had a recent request for some "boy" room ideas - Deb hopefully some of these ideas help! ;)
